LeContvirus WP is a highly selective biological insecticide developed for the control of Redheaded Pine Sawfly (Neodiprion lecontei) larvae in forests, woodlands, and ornamental plantings. Manufactured by Andermatt Canada, this baculovirus-based solution provides effective pest control while preserving beneficial insects, pollinators, and other non-target organisms.

Containing a naturally occurring nucleopolyhedrovirus, LeContvirus WP works when feeding larvae ingest treated foliage. Once consumed, the virus infects and replicates within the insect, ultimately causing mortality and reducing pest populations. Its highly specific mode of action makes it an ideal tool for sustainable forestry and integrated pest management programs.
