aPhinity Hexenol
Enhanced Emerald Ash Borer Detection and Monitoring
aPhinity Hexenol is a pouch lure based on the green leaf volatile, 3Z-Hexenol, a naturally occurring compound associated with stressed host trees. Developed to support Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis) monitoring programs, it enhances trap attractiveness and improves the detection of EAB populations in forestry and urban tree environments.
Designed for use alongside pheromone lures such as aPhinity EAB, aPhinity Hexenol helps increase trap captures and improve monitoring sensitivity, particularly in areas where pest populations are low and early detection is critical. By strengthening surveillance programs, it supports forestry professionals, municipalities, researchers, and land managers in making informed management decisions before significant tree damage occurs.
