Virtuss®
Dual-Species Biological Control for Tussock Moth Management
Virtuss is a unique baculovirus-based biological insecticide developed for the management of both Douglas-Fir Tussock Moth (Orgyia pseudotsugata) and White-Marked Tussock Moth (Orgyia leucostigma). Manufactured by Andermatt Canada, Virtuss provides effective control of two important defoliating pests using a single biological solution, helping forestry professionals and land managers protect forests, woodlands, and ornamental plantings.
When feeding larvae ingest treated foliage, the virus infects and replicates within the insect, causing disease and mortality. Its dual-species activity makes Virtuss a valuable tool for sustainable forestry and integrated pest management programs.
