Virosoft® CP4
Biological Control of Codling Moth in Fruit Tree Orchards
Developed from a unique strain of codling moth granulovirus, this biological insecticide provides highly targeted control of codling moth (Cydia pomonella) in apple and tree fruit orchards. By infecting newly hatched larvae before they enter the fruit, it helps protect yield and fruit quality while reducing pest populations over time. Compatible with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and mating disruption programs, it preserves beneficial insects, leaves no residues and provides growers with an effective resistance management tool for sustainable orchard production.

Application Guidelines
167- 250 mL/ha
Apply according to codling moth monitoring and egg hatch predictions. Multiple applications may be required during periods of sustained pressure.
Begin applications at egg hatch so newly emerged larvae encounter the virus before entering the fruit.
Apply as a foliar spray with thorough coverage of fruit and foliage. Shake well before use and maintain good spray coverage throughout the canopy.
Compatible with many insecticides, herbicides and fertilizers. Confirm fungicide compatibility before mixing.
No residue concerns. Suitable for use throughout the season, including late-season applications.
Key Product Benefits
Specifically targets codling moth larvae without impacting beneficial insects, pollinators or natural enemies.
Stops larval feeding before fruit penetration, reducing crop damage and protecting marketable yield.
Contains a unique CpGV-CP4 lineage that provides an important tool for resistance management programs.
Leaves no measurable residues, supporting late-season use and meeting export market requirements.
Certified organic and classified as a reduced-risk product, supporting safer pest control for human health and the environment.
Works alongside mating disruption programs and biological control strategies to strengthen orchard-wide pest management.
